6 months
Looking back, I guess this being-away-from-homeness does change a person. Let's see:
I used to get upset really easily over the littlest things.
Doesn't happen to me that often now. Either I've optimistically advanced another level, or I've become cold-hearted.
I used to dislike eating veges.
Well, I still do. But I'm eating more of em though my parents aren't here to nag at me to eat em. :)
I'm taking my assignments more seriously.
That's only cos the homework we used to get in high school didn't worth any marks.
I wasn't as independent.
I guess given the freedom here, I get to do things the way I want it to be. With this, I get to learn more about what the world has to offer and learn from the mistakes that I make.
But too bad I get to miss out on f&f's birthdays, festivals and all cultural celebrations.
Anyway, celebrated the Mooncake Festival on Wednesday. Played with lanterns and ate mooncake. Puasnya... XD (Still missing homemade mooncakes :S)
Also had our bbq today. :) And thank God it didn't rain!

Another week off the calendar
Haven't been able to get proper sleep these few weeks. I think I might be having Insomnia. Nawt. -___-
Dear active mind, how I hate you sometimes. Stop playing tricks on me will you? ):
I've always had troubles sleeping. I can't sleep when there's noise, or when the light is turned on. And, when I do try going back to sleep after getting up, it takes forever. Each time I try to sleep, there's a high chance of my mind playing phases of my life like a DVD player. And usually, these short clips of my life include the ways I see my future, the way I want it to be; the people I'd be with, what I'd do, where I'd go... It's like I'm a director of my own movie (life). Well, I guess I could put it that way. The outcome of my future is going to be exactly the way I plan it to be. I bet the same applies to everyone else. Minus the plans that God has made for us, how we want to live our lives, that's really up to us.
I went to bed at around 11pm cos:
A) I wanted to sleep earlier for a change
B) there wasn't any Internet connection
By 1am, I was still wide awake. Gosh, I really do think there's something wrong with me. Each time I tell myself 'Go to sleep!', it doesn't work. And my mind ends up playing a scene of my 'future' or it starts playing a really catchy tune. Maybe the best solution would be to stop listening to songs... Okay, on second thought, that's probably the worst solution ever! I mean, how can someone like me ever ever ever stop listening to music? I know right?
I find it interesting (funny) how our brain works. Maybe I should change my major to Psychology. Maybe I should stop using the word 'maybe'. It's starting to get on my nerves now. =.= Ah well, that's Michelle for you. Always having a bit of interest in everything. Having GREAT interest in ONE thing, is more of a rare occassion. Still not too sure if Pharmacy's really what I want. I envy those who have their minds set on which course they'd like to take up.
Anyway, back to the topic. Talking about brains, I've always wondered how our brains pick only certain things to remember. Like, why can't it store every single detail of what we've been through or what we've done. Why, when we choose to forget, our brain doesn't permit it? And the same goes for dreams. There are times when we can still remember the sweet/sour things that our brain chooses to play while we're sleeping. And then you get times when you wake up panting or with wet eyes, clueless about what had happened. And no, I've never experieced any pantings after waking up from a dream. Watery eyes, definitely. It's about time someone invented an 'external hard drive' to store all those memories. Or is it already in the market?? -__-
Friday (17th Sept) is BBQ day. Hopefully it doesn't rain then, so we wouldn't have to be stuck outside of TUU.

Start of Spring
So, had a chem prac session after a 2 week chem-prac-break. Have a feeling I didn't do well in it. Always had probs with the prac part of a subject (though it may be fun). Gotta work on em since I'll be doing much more of em next year. And, I just realised that the two clocks at opposite ends in the chem lab show 2 different times, with one 4 mins faster than the other.
Just yesterday, I saw 2 POSSUMS! They were so cute... :) A mother (I think), with her baby clinging onto her back and they were feeding on some random banana peel. Awwhhh...
Work for the weekend:
- Globalisation essay
- Global Warming
Wish me luck.

FOOD
Yes, that says it all, doesn't it? :D
Super happy. Haha. Well, I was much happier yesterday, EATING it.
Kinda miss it now. T__T
$11 for a plate of Nasi Goreng with fried egg, chicken, beef and some mixed veges. And it was spicy!! Ah, the love... Haven't had proper spicy food in a long while. Expensive though, but definitely worth it.
Trying out Fish 349's ice-cream tomorrow. :D
#66 days to go. I'll miss my Math's teacher's spontaneous sarcasm. :(

Rain
Not a huge fan of BEING IN IT, however. Absolutely dislike it when it's raining on my way back from Uni. >.< Especially when it's heavy enough that I have to force myself to take out my umbrella...
Just got back from Woolies with a packet of cashews! On sale, somemore! Despite having to walk in the rain, it was a good buy. I is so the very happy now. As you can see, I absolutely love cashews. I wonder what's so addictive about it. Must find some time to investigate hmm...
There was this time during one CNY (when gong-gong hadn't sold off his house in Tong Sang Rd :( ), my relatives had to put this whole tray of snacks (with cashews) somewhere high enough where they thought I wouldn't be able to reach cos I was finishing em off. >< But I managed to use a chair to climb up and reach for the tray. Hehehe... I was young back then. Not to mention mischiveous. LOL.
And many years later, I still remain loyal to cashews. My tastebuds haven't changed since. :)
Anyway, it's term break for the high school and college students and we've got company... 2 functions going on (Christian women's group & some leadership camp). Something like that. Hope it won't get too noisy. >.<

Glad it's finally over! :D
Now I don't have to worry bout it anymore! YaY!
Presenting using the lectern and the mike made me miss the MC-ing moments in school. Sigh...
There are so many things I miss about school.
BUT, I'm still fully loaded with incomplete assignments. Q__Q
On the bright side, 70 days more to go!
